KS3 and GCSE Mathematics / Physics, School Entrance Exams and Scholarship Preparation

This is aimed at younger stduents who either need some help improving at the subject, or for those who are keen to get into a particular school and get a scholarship.

If your level is lower or you lack confidence, we will analyse your strengths and weakness and focus on topics which need improving. This can be done using a variety of different methods and will be adapted according to your specific learning needs. Most likley we will focus on building core numerical confidence and mastering high-yield topics rather than rushing through the entire curriculum quickly.

For the more able student, we will work on building deep academic knowledge of the subject and exam techniques. These exams are designed to test critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and lateral problem-solving. It should be noted that timing is one of the most common reasons students struggle in scholarship papers. We will give you timed mock exams using past papers from previous years to help you build confidence and speed.

Additional Mathematics, A-Level Mathematics / Physics and Mathematical Olympiad Preparation (Junior Level)

This option is aimed at middle to higher level students who are either taking A-Level Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, GCSE Further Mathematics or equivalent. We will focus on active problem solving and applying new techniques in order to solve more challenging problems.

In addition to this, we can prepare you for a number of mathematical competitions, including various Olympiads, such as the Chinese, British and International Olympiads, as well as the International Kangaroo Challenges.

A-Level Further Mathematics and Mathematical Olympiad Preparation (Senior Level)

This option is aimed at higher level students who are embarking on A-Level Further Mathematics or equivalent, who also have an interest in competing in one of the senior level Olympiads. Further Mathematics is a step up from A-Level mathematics as it demands a much deeper level of mathematical reasoning and proof.

In addition to this, we can prepare you for various higher level mathematical competitions, Olympiads and higher level International Kangaroo Challenges.

Combined A-Level Further Mathematics and STEP Mathematics Preparation

This popular option is aimed at very high level students who have a good subject knowledge and are keen to try their chances at getting into one of the top Universities in the world.

The STEP Mathematics papers are challenging and are taken as entry for Cambridge and other top Universities in the United Kingdom. We will spend time building the problem-solving skills and exam techniques needed to succeed at these papers as well as tidying up any weaker areas that you may have in your normal A-Level syllabus. This is important as you will still need to achieve top grades to get into your chosen University.

Having a strong exam technique, fluency with core topics as well as an ability to apply standard methods accurately under timed conditions are essential for success in the final exams. Students taking these lessons often see very promising results in a short space of time, the prices of which are also considerably more reasonable than what you might expect to pay elsewhere, hence the popularity.

University Entrance Exam and Interview Preparation

This option is aimed at elite level students who have a nearly immaculate knowledge and are serious about getting an offer from a top University.

These sessions provide a very realistic interview practice, carefully chosen problems in the style used by Cambridge and other top universities as well as detailed feedback to help you refine your approach. In addition to this we will look at numerous questions from past STEP Mathematics II and III papers.

Working through interview questions with expert guidance can make a huge impact to both your confidence and performance. If you are aiming to secure an offer from Cambridge, Oxford or another competitive university, having a structured mathematics mock interview can be one of the most effective ways to prepare.
